Visitors Hold Their Breath When Cheetah Gets Too Close

Africa is a country of beauty and hardship; There the beautiful sunsets and the wide variety of wildlife contrast with the very real ѕoсіаl and eсoпomіс сһаlleпɡeѕ that exist on the continents.

For the animals that live there, human intrusion can be bad on many levels. However, when this group of tourists showed up on the African plains, they found much more than they expected.

Mісkeу Ireland’s McCaldin was on holiday at the Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya with his wife and her sister, accompanied by family friend David Horsey who is from Mombasa, Kenya. David has lived in Kenya his whole life and said he’s never seen anything like it.

What Happened When Cheetahs Charm Tourists?

The curious cheetah attracted tourists during a ride through the game reserve. Mісkeу and his family had been through the reserve twice a week before and had been following a family of cheetahs a few days earlier. See what happens when these curious cheetahs charm tourists and give them a memory that will last a lifetime.

The group of tourists was tracking a famous family of cheetahs whose mother is known as Malaika. Mike and his family had noticed that the cheetah had been missing Kiu for a few days.

The curious cheetahs impressed tourists with how comfortable they were around them. David says he thinks it is because the group had been following the family for a few days at the time. Apparently, they were so comfortable with the car and the people, that the mother decided to jump on top of the car to get a better view of the surrounding landscape.

One of the little cheetahs tried to follow his mother, but ended up jumping inside the vehicle! “I think the other cheetah tried to follow him but he went a different way.” That’s when the curious cheetah charmed the tourists by coming within a foot of their faces.

Watching Wildlife Is An Experience Of A Lifetime

It was at this point that David said that Mickey might be a bit left out. “At first Mickey was really relaxed but I think he was worried enough that he might try to sit on her lap.” The cheetah was only a foot away from Miske’s face at one point.

Here’s the look on my face that I would have if I were in his shoes. I love animals, but being so close to a big cat that can maul your face in an instant might be too close for comfort for me. Still, what a wonderful experience it has been!

Direct contact with African wildlife will be an experience of a lifetime. These animals are things most people would only see in magazines, TV shows, or zoos. These curious cheetahs attract tourists in the best possible way and nobody seems to understand it. Now few more people have a great appreciation for the beauty of wildlife around the world. I would call it a wipe.
