Ozark, Wyoming has been filming all of its upcoming episodes for the past couple of months. The production on the fourth season has already wrapped up in April, and I can’t say that much has changed since the show’s inception. I have to admit, after the premiere of “Through the Wormhole,” I became a bit disappointed with how the season progressed, but that was only because I hadn’t seen what happened between the pilot episode and the final credits. As I got older, I became more interested in the story, and I wanted to see how it would end. In this article I’m going to talk about where the show is headed, and what I thought of the final episodes.
One of the most compelling elements of the show, and what attracted me to it in the first place, was the mythology surrounding Ozark. The town’s story takes place in an alternate timeline, one in which a vicious band of drug runners called the cartel arrived on the scene and started terrorizing the residents. While you might think that the whole region was doomed to succumb to drug addiction, there is hope. In season two, resident David Palmer ( Wes Bentley) discovered a way to defeat the cartel using a time travel device. But when he returns in season three with a new partner, FBI agent Carol Quay (Ann-Margret), they realize the danger is not just in the air.
This new relationship quickly becomes romantic between Quay and David, and Ozark’s dark secret becomes exposed. But when Carol discovers that her biological father, Martin (Django Reinende), was one of the cartel leaders, she has to decide what she wants to do with her life. I won’t give too much away, but I will tell you that the chemistry between Quay and David is something that makes the viewing experience memorable.
With Carol and David now going under the same roof, what does the future hold for them? The final season four of this crime drama revolves around the question: What happens to David and Carol? Will they reunite or go their separate ways? We’ll find out in the next two parts.
In the first part of the final season three, we witnessed the destruction of David’s mom and dad’s home. But what most viewers are probably unaware is that the explosion is actually a scene from the future, one that was produced by the Omen of Oz, an artifact of ages long past. In the present, a peace rally is being held to mark the second renewal of the Ozark border.
As Ozark prepares for its final season, a new crime thriller has been filmed that will introduce a whole new era of characters and circumstances. “The Witch’s Pupil” will introduce us to Dr. Mundy’s perspective on the situation as he deals with the final moments of Mrs. Mason’s life. Meanwhile, Carol is busy making ends meet as she tries to figure out what to do with her friend Mildred. The season’s end is fast approaching and we’ll have to wait until the season four premiere to find out exactly what happens.
With the third season of Ozark coming to an end, show creator Craig Bolotin spoke to TV Line about the possibility of a fourth season. According to him, there are a number of potential plots that the writers are currently working on. However, he declined to give any details about the details of what these plots may entail.
