Gal Gadot’s career has been changing recently. Fans were concerned that Gadot wouldn’t ever don the tights as the legendary hero once more after James Gunn confirmed there wouldn’t be a third Patty Jenkins Wonder Woman. Fortunately, she is returning to another role, as she returns to the beloved The Fast and Furious franchise as Gisele Yashar in the upcoming movie, Fast X.
Gal Gadot’s return as her former character Gisele has Fast and Furious fans puzzled as to how exactly she will do so. Her character actually died back in 2013 in Fats and Furious 6. With Fast X slated to release on May 19, 2023, it’s not clear how she would still be alive a decade later.
However, it’s worth nothing that the fast Franchise has played “fast” and loose with its Cast of characters before. For example, we saw Sung Kang’s character Lu apparently die in The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift back in 2006, and he popped again in the 2021 film F9. Ironically, a tendency for seemingly dead characters to return from the dead is one of the few things that really links the Fast Franchise with Gal Gadot’s other big franchise: the DCU.
Another thing linking these two franchises is her friend and sometimes co-star Jason Momoa. He proved to be one of the few bright spots of the DCU and helped turn Aquam, into billion dollar franchise. Although there are persistent reports to the contrary, he is currently scheduled to co-star with Gal Gadot in Fast X. He may also play Lobo in upcoming DC films.
Is Gal Gadot’s decision to return to Fast X an attempt at risk management?
In light of the uncertainty surrounding her future as Wonder Woman, it might not be a bad idea for her to make appearances in other popular properties. Naturally, some fans believe she is returning to the Fast franchise as a token of appreciation for essentially giving her career a start.
Gal Gadot played the lead role in Fats and Furious in 2009, the fourth film in this storied series. She was just 24 years old and virtually unknown in Hollywood at the time. She was able to create a big action blockbuster thanks to her appearance in that film and its sequel. In the end, this benefited her and the wonder woman character. Appears in Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice and two subsequent solo films
Gal Gadot’s future is unclear, except for the possibility that she will return to the big screen to reprise her role in Fast X. She already filmed cameos as Wonder Woman for Shazam: Fury Of The Gods and the next Flash movie. Her cameo in the flash has been trimmed, and her cameo in Shazam might follow suit.
Gal Gadot career
Gadot made her Hollywood debut in the fourth Fast and Furious movie after years of modeling on the back of winning the 2004 Miss Isreal pageant. It would make perfect sense for Gadot to reprise her role as former Mossad agent Gisele Yashar in Fast X, the biggest movie in the franchise thus far, especially considering F9 had brought back Han Lue, who was Gisele Yashar’s on-screen companion.
According to speculations, Gadot has joined the Fast X cast. The Outlet claims that Gisele Yashar’s comeback is already a given, regardless of whether she would be brought back to life or appear in a flashback scene. The Fast & Furious movies, in many ways. Gisele developed into a more nuanced character between Fast Five and Fast Six, with her love for Han first growing in the former before she gave her life to save him in the latter.
With Gadot on board, the already impressive cast that currently includes Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson, Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, and John Cena would be much stronger. Brie Larson and Jason, two newbies, will join them.
Given the star-studded cast, it’s not surprising that Fast and Furious 10 will cost $340 million, making it one of the most expensive films ever made in 2023.
