Then, another character, Fabian (Drew Barrymore) comes along and is hit by the other car. They then have to share their experience together by driving to a hospital, while the wiser Fabian makes the smart decision to drive himself to the hospital himself.
This movie isn’t about saving the day, or avoiding a horrible fate. It is instead about a man who realizes he has made a horrible mistake and wants to do the right thing by getting hitched with another person. It isn’t even about saving his own life or that of the other man. It is about the knowledge that he has let something bad happen, but there is still a good guy in there that he cares about. That is what this movie is about, letting go of those past mistakes so that you can make the most of your future.
