It’s not every day you see a cat sitting in a shopping cart rolling through the aisles of your local Lowes anymore. But here we are, with an adorable Ragdoll cat named Louie, who is having the time of his life.

The amount of Christmas trees, lights, sparkles, and holiday sounds that have taken over the store would be enough for even the most festive character, but it seems to be just the right amount of holiday cheer for Louie.

As he and his human make their way through each aisle, Louie offers honest feedback on the decorating choices and hopes they can pick up a little of everything.

In the comments, people shared how much they love seeing Louie soaking up all the holiday spirit. One character wrote, “I’m so happy to see the kiddo out and about again,” another shared, “This isn’t me crying at work because Louie came back out to the store.”

A separate person said, “Louie climbing a tree at 3 am due to the holiday season!” One captioned, “Louie’s ecstatic because of the Christmas decorations, which in turn makes me happy biting happy the person.

Important Reminders for Pet(Cat) Owners This Holiday Season

With so much going on this time of year, there are some important safety reminders pup owners should review. According to the ASPCA and the Animal Poison Control Center (APCC), there are some recommendations about foods and decorations that are okay to refresh.

The ASPCA says, ‘It is important to avoid fatty, sweet, and spicy foods and also turkey and chicken bones during the holidays.’ Even a small piece of boneless turkey can be a pleasant treat, but it is always better to be cautious and avoid the possibility of feeding your pooch something that may have a toxic substance or seasoning.”

As for the Christmas tree, they should be “well secured so there is no danger of tipping over,” and pup owners should consider staying away from tinsel. “The ingestion of tinsel can cause the intestinal tract to become severely misaligned and there is the possibility of the pet getting dehydrated, which in some cases can even require surgery. Lights and ornaments are the way to go!”

Other quick reminders include making sure all cords are put away and keeping dogs and cats safe while guests come and go. And have fun!
