Pets may be quite astonishing in the way they pay attention to other animals. This was excellently illustrated when Koda a toy Australian shepherd had a rather fun and surprising interaction with a deer. The owner of Koda recorded an adorable clip and posted it on his page on July 12th, it has now quickly become very popular.

The storyline of the video starts with the dog Koda realizing that there is a deer on the other side of the road. The deer, too, had equal curiosity for the young one and looked at Koda. Then, both they expose themselves courageously and move towards each other like animals intending to make a new friend. However, they are close enough to kiss but just before they make the move, both stop and step back to prevent the kiss, thus making it rather cute and funny.
Koda’s owner jokingly said that after the show Koda thinks he is a deer and imitates them. Although most of the viewers of the scene were pleased with the encounter, some used the word of warning. A particular comment by Juan Flores Martinez was that deer could consider a small dog, like Koda, a threat, particularly if they are feral with young. The owner of Koda said that the tips were helpful and stressed on the aspect of pet safety.
This interaction captures the Aussie’s playful attitude as well as curiosity. The nationals of Australia are smart, energetic and known to have distinguishable eyes in different colours even in one eye. Australian Shepherds, however, were created in the United States although their progenitors originated in the Basque area of Australia.
Koda, still a miniature breed, ranges in weight between 30-50 pounds and therefore smaller than the standard size of an Aussie. These dogs are characterized by their beautiful coat and their temperament; their coat demands routine grooming due to the fact that they shed a lot.
In addition to beauty, Aussies are also known to be flock-trained dogs that are very playful. They are truly popular among those people who like dogs for their obedience and cheerful disposition. Thus, Koda’s short interaction with the deer is an example of the nature of the Australian Shepherds possessing curiosity and an ability to put a spell on anyone.
