This is true since many people offer food and water to the wildlife that, usually, comes into their compound. However, Brooke Walding goes a notch higher with a flair to it. She has created a ‘décor’ during last year for the local squirrels where they go to get their drinks, The Tipsy Acorn. Recently Brooke posted a video on Instagram, showing a viewer how her writing setup looks like and it is incredible cute!
A Woman Creates a Squirrel Bar in Their Yard, Outfitted with Specialty Squirrel Cocktails
The Tipsy Acorn features two signature drinks for the squirrels: the Walnut Whirl and the Strawberry Squeak.” These have ‘shots’ of squirrel booster with vitamin and minerals to keep the squirrel active. From the video, one is able to view the squirrels taking the drinks and maybe, if not enjoyed, at least the squirrels had fun at the bar.
The funny commentary from Brooke is delightful; she says she has her ‘security guy’ with her at the bar, and that even squirrels like their drinks solitary. Fans enjoyed the video and many expressed that they also have experienced some incidence of feeding a squirrel. Some people in the comment section amusingly responded such as, ‘I take cold strawberries to my backyard squirrels on sunny days’ and ‘I sure hope these squirrels are good tippers!’
Squirrels keep different food habits, they eat fruits, vegetables, nuts and every now and then even insects. They require approximately 2-3 ounces of water daily and can obtain this water from sources such as; streams, pond and even hoses which have water dripping from them.
I think Brooke’s creativity is remarkable in the way she feeds squirrels in addition to the happiness to people who enjoy her videos. She’s had a lot of creativity and loves wildlife which has made many days brighter and looking forward for more of the squirrel bars.
