An Iowa man has been arrested and charged with participating in the distribution of unsavoury films depicting monkeys being mistreated. The arrests were made today in the United States, the United Kingdom and Indonesia following a pair of allegations.
Lowa Attorney Arrested in Disturbing Monkeys Torture Ring
Des Moines attorney Philip Colt Moss faces federal charges for his role in a scheme to create and distribute films depicting mistreated animals. Nicholas T. Dryden of Ohio and Giancarlo Morelli of New Jersey face charges that led to their recent arrests.
The conspirators of this online group allegedly discussed sadistic thoughts about films of monkeys being sexually abused and tortured. The US Department of Justice claims the conspirators sent money through Dryden to a minor in Indonesia, who was paid to carry out the abuse.
“The films speculated to have been created as part of the conspiracy-protected depictions of monkeys having their genitals burned, having their genitals cut off with scissors, being sodomized with a wooden skewer, and being sodomized with a spoon,” according to a US Department of Justice press release on the case.
Lady Freethinker (LFT) and the Movement for Primates (AfP) have been investigating the disgusting world of monkey torture since 2021. Those investigations have led to some cases of justice for animals, including an Ohio professor who recently pleaded guilty for his part in creating and disseminating infant monkey torture films. LFT and AfP provided evidence to the government about the group he led, known as “Milliontears.”
Monkeys are sensitive animals that feel pain, fear, joy, curiosity, and other emotions, just like humans. The abuse of innocent baby monkeys is extremely disturbing and cannot be ignored. LFT and AfP welcome the prosecution of all those involved in investing in, selling or carrying out animal torture.
