I have never seen anything more adorable than this. The Australian penguin that has taken the internet by storm with such enthusiasm is back to prove once again that he is adorable. Pesto is the little guy who likes to take the internet by storm with his adorable cuteness. That being said, he doesn’t like bad snacks and could never be caught in any kind of eating disorder. He knows how to wait for the right moment and wait his turn, as you can see in the online video.
When it’s dinner time for Pesto, he knows that good things are worth waiting for.
The video filmed at SEA Life Melbourne, in which they hold the penguin, shows the 46-pound boy getting ready for his meal. Pesto may be a baby at less than a year old, but he is bigger than some of the adults and towers over all the other penguins in the exhibit. He is so big!
But just because Pesto is huge doesn’t mean he’s terrible at using his time to do evil. No, Pesto is more than happy to wait patiently for his turn to be fed. He can’t just cut in line and push his way through, even if he wants to. Commenters who were inspired by his restraint had plenty to say. “He waits SO PATIENTLY!” exclaimed one commenter, while someone added, “He’s the kind of polite person who waits his turn.” “My son fell asleep for a moment,” another commenter joked. “Mum, I need food too,” as if they were speaking for the penguin.
About Pesto
Pesto became an instant hit since he was overtaken by traffic at SEA Life Melbourne in April. At the time, they didn’t even know he was a male…
The animals’ keepers didn’t notice right away, but after a while, they did. They even made the cutest statement about it a few weeks ago.
“We had recorded the show,” said Sea Life Melbourne senior keeper Michaela Smale, standing in the sunshine announcing the start of a few weeks. “I wanted to do something fun to announce Pesto’s gender, and I decided to announce her gender humanely with a cake to show the gender to the SEA Life Melbourne team.”
Pesto is a female, and Smale, the penguin keeper, gathers everyone together to eat a piece of the cake. She cuts it in half. From that point on, the child is a male. Just like the affirmation of human babies, the cake method is completely indicative, as the cake indicates that the penguin is a female.
“If it’s a male, it’ll be a male!” was what they said in a completely comical way. She eats about 25 fish a day – that’s more than many SEA Life penguins, so it’s a good thing Pesto is developing. Yeah, she’s not done developing yet, right? We can only think about what her overall life expectancy will be, but she is already the most important name in our minds.
