If the fishes are moving in groups on the surface of the water, be careful, and take these measures immediately

Sick fishes start moving in groups on the surface of the water. At the same time, these fishes swim restlessly and uncontrolled. Apart from this, sick fishes repeatedly rub their bodies on the edge of the pond or with the bamboo stump buried in the water. Also, they repeatedly jump into the water and splash the water.

Fish farming is famous as a big business in India today. Fish farming is being done on a large scale in ponds from villages to cities. But in fish farming, taking care of the health of the fish i.e. protecting them from diseases is very difficult. Often on cold days, after rain, or on rainy days, fish start floating on the surface of the pond, which is a sign of the fish being sick, because when it rains, the water from outside goes into the pond, which not only spoils the water of the pond but also increases the risk of fish dying. In such a situation, it is very important to take special care of the water in the pond. Fish farmers should take immediate measures in time, otherwise, there can be huge losses.

Know the symptoms of diseased fishes:

Sick fish start moving in groups on the surface of the water. At the same time, these fish swim restlessly and uncontrolled. Apart from this, sick fish repeatedly rub their body with the bamboo stump buried in the pond or on the edge of the pond. Also, they repeatedly jump into the water and splash the water. On seeing all these symptoms, you should be careful and immediately take these measures.

These are the measures to save fish.

1. To protect fish from diseases, choose a place where the soil is smooth for the construction of a new pond. Sandy soil is not good for fish farming because the water dries up quickly and the pond has to be filled with water again and again.

2. Apart from this, a low place should be chosen to build a pond for fish farming, because here the water remains for more days and the cost of construction is also less. Let us tell you that for fish farming, make a pond of at least 50 decimals, if the pond is big then there is less risk of spreading disease in the fish.

3. The bottom of the pond should always be kept clean. Apart from this, stones or roots, etc. should be removed from the pond because this not only helps in taking out the fish but also saves the fish from getting injured.

4. Any kind of stone and stem of trees and plants should not be left in the pond. The stems of trees and plants absorb the water of the pond quickly, which causes problems for the fish.

5. The dam of the pond should be made strong and wide so that the dam does not break due to the flow of water during the rainy season. To protect from the flow of water, grass should be kept on the banks of the dam, so that there is no erosion of the soil and the water of the fields does not come into the pond because there is a danger of spreading disease in the pond due to outside water.

6. A mesh should be used in the pipe to bring water from outside into the pond or to take out the water from the pond. This is so that the fish of the pond do not go out through the pipe. This is also very important for fish diseases so that outside fish do not spread any disease by coming into the pond.

7. If the color of the pond water turns green, then stop giving food and fertilizer to the fish. After this, when the color of the water becomes clear, then give food and grains to the fish.

8. If the fish is seen moving a lot on the surface of the water to breathe in the air, then the pond water should be changed. Otherwise, it can prove fatal for the fish.

9. If it is cloudy for 3-4 days or it is raining intermittently, then lime should be used in the pond to prevent the fish from getting sick.

10. If the fish are moving together on the surface of the water or there is a possibility of any disease, then also lime should be used in the pond. Apart from this, if there is such a possibility, the nearest expert or fish farming unit should be contacted.
