This buffalo named Anmol is of Murrah breed whose height is 5 feet 8 inches while it is 13 feet long. Its weight is 1500 kg. In the fair, it has won the number one title by leaving behind many buffaloes. Not only this, the name of this buffalo is number one in international records. This buffalo is also going to get an award from the Rajasthan government. Anmol has received awards in many fairs before this.
Anmol’s owner says that the age of this world-famous buffalo is a little more than 8 years. The main work of this buffalo is to give semen, which makes buffaloes pregnant. Its semen is taken and used by cattle farmers in many states. Anmol’s semen is taken by farmers from many states including Maharashtra, Punjab, UP, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Delhi. Many buffalo calves have been born from their semen.
Lakhs spent on food and drink
Anmol’s owner said that the cost of raising it comes to about two thousand rupees per day. Three to four lakh rupees are spent on different expenses in a year. Four people are always engaged in its care and rearing. Even most of the people in the house are engaged in its care. Special arrangements are made for its food and drink, which includes cashews, almonds, milk, etc. Its semen is sold for Rs 250, which covers the expenses of its family and its own. The price of this buffalo has reached up to Rs 23 crore. However, the owner says that he does not want to sell Anmol because he is a major source of family expenses.
