The rules of cricket spitting are easy: catch a dead cricket, put it in your mouth, and spit it out as far as possible. The contestant who manages to spit the cricket the farthest is the winner. This ‘delicious’ sport was invented by entomologist Tom Turpin for the annual Worm Bowl at Purdue University. Since then, the sport has been played at many different universities and activities.

Snail racing…ready, regular, slow. In this extraordinary sport, two or more land snails are racing on a circular track with a radius of 13-14 inches. To distinguish each competitor, they paint a racing number on the snail’s shell or stick small stickers on them. There are many snail-racing events around the world, but the annual International Snail Racing Championships in the U.K. are the most popular.

This may be a key reason we want to go to Thailand. Elephants are being taught to play basketball as part of a modern regime to increase their fitness and vitality. The education begins with learning simple ball control skills. Then the keepers teach the elephants to stand on their hind legs, jog with the ball, and finally kick it through the ring. It takes a lot of hard work to train an elephant but it’s worth it. The performance is amazing.

This “fluffy” entertainment is also gaining popularity. If you love puppies and surfing, and you can train your dog to stand upright on a surfing board while the waves attack you, then this sport is for you. The sport originated in San Diego and has become quite popular in Australia as well.

And we can guarantee you those pigs will never show up on the dinner table. They simply supply a new generation of athletic entertainment pigs.
