There have been many amazing animals in our history that deserve to have their bronze statues, but only a few of them have been immortalized in this way. The rest can only be understood from a few images, name plaques, and mentions in history books.

Hachiko became a living legend. This Eastern Akita dog waited for his owner for more than nine years, in the same place every day, without knowing that his owner, Hidesaburo Ueno, had died in an accident years before.
Belka and Strelka – Russian field pups
Do you know why we don’t have any Disney movies about dogs going into space? Since the Russians can brag that they have been the first to perform it. This happened in the fifties and sixties of the nineteenth century when the Reds sent more than 50 dogs into Earth orbit. Most survived, with Belka and Strelka being the pioneers.
Harriet the Darwin’s tortoise
It is said that Darwin picked up little Harriet when he travelled to the Galapagos in 1835. She lived a long and happy life in Australia until June 2006, when she was found to be about 175 years old.
Charlie the Churchill’s parrot
This little feathered robber named Charlie was funny! Can you believe that this blue-yellow macaw, called “cursor” by Churchill, lived to be 105 years old? If the stories are true, Churchill taught him to curse Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. Whabraveryny pair!
